KP Sharma Oli Raises Concerns Over Falgun 21 Election, Urges Government to Ensure Fair Process

Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli raised concerns about the upcoming Falgun 21 election in Nepal, calling on the government to ensure transparency, security, and a fair electoral process.

Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said concerns are emerging regarding the upcoming Falgun 21 election and urged the government to address them without delay.

Speaking to journalists during his election campaign visit to Jhapa, Oli stated that suspicions surrounding the electoral process must be resolved to maintain public confidence. He said the government is responsible for removing any doubts related to possible irregularities.

According to Oli, many people are expressing serious concerns about potential election fraud. He emphasized that such apprehensions should be taken seriously and addressed through transparent measures.

Oli also noted that some citizens are not fully assured about the security situation. He advised the government to guarantee peace and security so voters can participate without fear.

Although raising these issues, Oli clarified that the UML is committed to supporting a free, fair, and peaceful election. He stated that his party will not engage in activities that could disrupt or undermine the electoral environment. The Falgun 21 election is scheduled to take place later this month.
