The Commission has already published the final list of candidates nominated by political parties under the PR system and declared them elected. It has requested elected members to submit required documents, including original citizenship certificates or national identity cards along with two passport-sized photographs.

In the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21, six political parties secured national party status. Under the proportional representation system, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) won 57 seats, Nepali Congress secured 20 seats, CPN-UML obtained 16 seats, CPN (Unified Socialist) received nine seats, while Janamat Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party each secured four seats.

Nepal’s 275-member House of Representatives consists of 165 members elected through the first-past-the-post system and 110 members through proportional representation. The distribution of certificates to PR-elected members will formally conclude the electoral process.
