Kathmandu — The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has crossed five million votes in the proportional representation vote count of Nepal’s House of Representatives election.
According to the latest tally, 10,419,234 votes have been counted so far. Of these, the Rastriya Swatantra Party has secured 5,000,052 votes, placing the party ahead of other political parties in the proportional representation category.
The Nepali Congress has received 1,692,786 votes, while the CPN-UML has secured 1,411,429 votes.
The Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) is in fourth place with 766,875 votes. The Shram Sanskriti Party has obtained 358,415 votes, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has secured 324,881 votes.
Estimated Seat Distribution Based on Current Vote Count
Based on the votes counted so far and the proportional representation seat allocation formula, the current projection indicates the following distribution:
Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) — 58 seats
Nepali Congress — 19 seats
CPN-UML — 16 seats
Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) — 9 seats
Shram Sanskriti Party — 4 seats
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) — 4 seats
Election officials say the final seat allocation will be confirmed after the completion of the vote count and the official calculation under the proportional representation system.
