Kathmandu – Nepal Sadbhavana Party Chairman Anil Kumar Jha has said Madhes has failed to secure its expected rights because of the double standards of Madhes-based political parties. According to Jha, these parties have not consistently carried the genuine agenda of Madhes.
“In Madhes they shout ‘Jai Madhes’, but in Kathmandu they greet with a ‘federal salute’. When meeting the prime minister, they bow down, yet when they return to Madhes, they accuse leaders of betrayal. Such contradictions are why Madhesi people have been deprived of their rights,” he said.
Jha stated that he and his party are ready to face the people’s test in the next election. In his view, elections are the ultimate exam for politicians. “Students take exams every year, and leaders should be tested every five years. If elections are held in two years’ time as scheduled, we are prepared,” he said.
He emphasized that the Sadbhavana Party would not go underground but would remain in democratic politics through the ballot. With two years remaining until the next general election, Jha said his party would focus on strengthening its organization and presence at the grassroots level.
“From the studio to Singha Durbar, from parliament to the people, our message will remain the same. That is the kind of party we are building, and we will take it to the people,” he added.
