Nepali Congress to Announce 15th General Convention Schedule in Next Central Committee Meeting

Nepali Congress will finalize the 15th General Convention schedule in its next Central Committee meeting, says General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire.

Kathmandu — Nepali Congress General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire has said that the party will announce the schedule for its 15th General Convention in an upcoming Central Committee meeting.

Speaking to journalists at the party’s central office in Sanepa on Friday, Ghimire said the current Central Working Committee meeting will conclude within a day or two, followed by another meeting shortly after.

He stated that the next Central Committee meeting will finalize and publish the convention timetable. Ghimire also said party leaders will urge President Gagan Thapa to withdraw his resignation. Thapa had stepped down on Wednesday, taking responsibility for the party’s defeat in the recent House of Representatives election.

The Nepali Congress held a special general convention in Poush, and preparations are now focused on organizing the 15th General Convention.
