Kathmandu — The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has started collecting suggestions from party organisations and affiliated mass organisations to prepare its election manifesto for the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.
The party is gathering input from organisational units, sector-based mass organisations, and other related bodies as part of the manifesto drafting process. Some organisations have submitted their recommendations in person at the UML central office, while others have sent suggestions via email.
UML Central Office Secretary Dr. Bhishma Adhikari said the party is compiling the received inputs and using them as the basis for drafting the final manifesto.
“We are collecting suggestions from various organisational and sectoral groups and incorporating them into the manifesto draft,” Adhikari said. “The final draft is being prepared based on those collected suggestions.”
He said the party plans to make the election manifesto public in the first week of Falgun.
The UML has formed a manifesto drafting committee under the leadership of party chair KP Sharma Oli. The committee includes vice-chairs Ram Bahadur Thapa and Bishnu Paudel, General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, and senior leaders Ishwar Pokhrel, Pradeep Gyawali, and Bishnu Rimal.
