Nepali Congress candidate Dr. Shekhar Koirala has intensified his election campaign by inaugurating six party offices in Budhiganga Rural Municipality, citing progress in infrastructure and urging voters to support the party ahead of the march 5 polls.

Dr. Shekhar Koirala, a senior leader of the Nepali Congress and the party’s candidate from Morang Constituency No. 6, has intensified his election campaign by inaugurating six party offices in Budhiganga Rural Municipality in a single day.

Targeting the upcoming election, Dr. Koirala inaugurated Nepali Congress ward offices in Ward Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7 of Budhiganga Rural Municipality. Addressing the inauguration programs, he said the area has seen noticeable development in recent years.

He stated that significant progress has been made in drinking water supply, road infrastructure, and health facilities. “Compared to earlier years, the face of Budhiganga has changed,” Dr. Koirala said. “If anyone claims that no development has taken place here, I cannot agree with that.”

With the election scheduled for march 5 approaching, Nepali Congress candidates have stepped up campaign activities and are reaching out to voters. Speaking at the same program, proportional representation candidate Rukmini Koirala urged residents of Budhiganga to vote for the Nepali Congress, saying the party’s victory is essential for the protection of the Constitution and the nation.

Likewise, proportional representation parliamentary candidate Pramila Gachchhadar said it is necessary to recognize forces that have sought to weaken the country in the period following the people’s movement. She said the responsibility of nation-building lies with the Nepali Congress and called on voters to support the party.

Dr. Koirala has also been addressing election rallies and meeting citizens engaged in various professions and businesses as part of his campaign. He said that only a Nepali Congress victory would safeguard democracy, the Constitution, parliamentary supremacy, and the country’s religious and cultural identity.

According to Kiran Chaudhary, vice-chairperson of the Nepali Congress Budhiganga Rural Municipality committee, candidate Koirala has expanded his campaign programs, making the election drive more effective.
