Santosh Pariyar, a member of the Chairperson’s Council of the Progressive Democratic Party, has been selected to receive the Dr. Ambedkar International Award in recognition of his work for social justice and inclusion.

Santosh Pariyar, a member of the Chairperson’s Council of the Progressive Democratic Party, has been selected to receive the Dr. Ambedkar International Award, an international recognition for his work in the field of social justice and inclusion.

Pariyar announced the news himself on Friday through a social media post. He said he would travel to India the same day to attend the award ceremony, which will be held in New Delhi on Saturday and Sunday.

The award is named after Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and a towering figure in the Dalit rights movement. It is presented by the Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, which each year recognizes individuals who have made meaningful contributions toward social justice and empowerment.

Speaking about the honor, Pariyar said he has long studied and drawn inspiration from Dr. Ambedkar’s life and ideas. He described being associated with an award carrying Ambedkar’s name as both an honor and a responsibility.

Pariyar also reaffirmed his commitment to continue standing with communities around the world that have faced discrimination, exclusion, and injustice. He said the recognition encourages him to keep working toward equality, dignity, and fair representation in social, economic, cultural, and political life.
