Rastriya Swatantra Party Leads Proportional Vote Count in Arghakhanchi With 39,058 Votes

The Rastriya Swatantra Party has emerged as the leading party in the proportional representation vote count in Arghakhanchi district, receiving 39,058 votes.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured the highest number of votes in the proportional representation vote count in Arghakhanchi district, receiving 39,058 votes, according to election officials.

The party received around 4,000 more votes in the proportional representation category than in the direct election, where it had secured 35,023 votes. According to Chief Election Officer Shivlal Pandey, the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) (CPN-UML) finished second with 20,451 votes, while the Nepali Congress received 17,651 votes.

The Nepal Communist Party secured 3,977 votes, the Rastriya Janamorcha received 2,388 votes, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) obtained 725 votes. Election officials said 171,652 voters were registered in Arghakhanchi district, while 88,733 votes were cast under the proportional representation system.

Among them, 2,578 votes were declared invalid, while 86,155 votes were counted as valid ballots.
