Rabi Lamichhane Says RSP to Formalize Agreement With Kulman Ghising After Resignation

Rabi Lamichhane says the Rastriya Swatantra Party will move to formalize an agreement with Kulman Ghising after his resignation from the government.

Chitwan — Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, has said that an agreement reached earlier with Kulman Ghising will now be formalized through the party’s internal process following Ghising’s resignation from the government.

Lamichhane made the remarks while speaking briefly to journalists after appearing at the Chitwan District Court. He said the understanding had been reached when Ghising was still serving in the government, but could only move forward after his resignation.

“An agreement was reached while he was in government. Now that he has stepped down, the party will proceed to formalize it through its official process,” Lamichhane said.

According to party sources, the RSP had reached an agreement several weeks ago with Ujyaalo Nepal, an organization for which Ghising serves as patron. Under the agreement, Ghising is to be placed second in the party hierarchy with the position of vice-chairperson.

Party officials said preparations are now underway to complete the formal process within the party structure.
