Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane and Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairperson Rajendra Lingden are holding discussions amid Nepal’s shifting political landscape.
The two leaders are exchanging views on the latest political developments, including the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21, RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha said.
According to Shrestha, the conversation is focused on the overall political situation and election-related issues. He noted that although the meeting is informal, it reflects the growing political engagement ahead of the polls.
Lingden also referred to the talks in a social media post, saying that political dialogue began early in the morning and that discussion on the election followed naturally. Over the past few days, Lingden has also met senior leaders from other major parties, including Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli.
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party marks Prithvi Jayanti every year on Poush 27 by hosting a tea reception. As part of preparations for the event, Lingden has been meeting top leaders from various political parties to extend invitations, a process that has also provided an opportunity for broader political dialogue ahead of the upcoming election.
