Purchaudi Municipality has declared a day of mourning on Friday following a tragic bus accident in Baitadi that claimed the lives of 13 people. Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, the municipality announced the mourning holiday through an official notice.
According to the notice, all government offices, educational institutions, and private organizations within the municipality will remain closed for one day. The accident occurred on Thursday night at around 8:00 p.m. at Badhgaun Mod in Purchaudi Municipality–7.
The bus was returning after transporting a wedding party from Bhauni when it met with the accident at the same ward. The vehicle involved, operated by Pawandut Transport and bearing registration number Supa Pra 02-001 Kha 1119, suffered a crash that resulted in significant loss of life.
