Nepal Completes Printing of Proportional Representation Ballots for Falgun 21 Election

The Election Commission has completed printing ballots for the proportional representation system ahead of the House of Representatives election on Falgun 21, with direct system printing now underway.

The printing of ballot papers for the proportional representation system under the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 has been completed.

According to the Election Commission, a total of 20.85 million ballot papers for the proportional representation category were printed by Monday at Janak Education Materials Center Limited in Sanothimi.

Managing Director of the center, Yadunath Paudel, said that following the completion of the proportional representation ballot printing, work has now begun on printing ballot papers for the direct (first-past-the-post) election system. He confirmed that the printing of direct system ballots officially started on Monday.

Earlier, the center had already printed and delivered 1,098,200 sample ballot papers to the Election Commission. These sample ballots are currently being used for voter education, awareness campaigns, and other preparatory activities related to the election.

The Election Commission stated that ballot printing and other pre-election preparations are progressing as planned, emphasizing that all necessary arrangements are being accelerated to ensure the election is conducted in a timely, orderly, and credible manner.
