Nepali Congress candidate Nishkal Rai has been elected to the House of Representatives from Ilam-1 after securing 14,543 votes in the federal parliamentary election.

Ilam — Nepali Congress candidate Nishkal Rai has been elected to the House of Representatives from Ilam Constituency No. 1 after securing 14,543 votes in the federal parliamentary election. The 35-year-old Rai defeated Vinod Nembang Limbu of the Shram Sanskriti Party, who received 13,632 votes in the constituency.

CPN-UML candidate Kajiman Kagate finished third with 11,966 votes, while Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Bimal Gadal secured 9,160 votes.
