Nepali Congress Rules Out Pre-Election Alliance, Confirms Candidates in All 165 Seats

The Nepali Congress has announced it will not enter into any alliance ahead of the election, stating that the party is contesting independently with candidates fielded in all 165 constituencies.

The Nepali Congress has said it will not form an alliance with any political party before the election. Speaking at a press conference organized by the party’s Central Publicity Committee, party spokesperson Devraj Chalishe said the Nepali Congress is contesting the election independently and has maintained its candidates in all 165 constituencies.

He said the party is fully focused on the electoral process. Chalishe stated that the Nepali Congress has no comment on rumors circulating about issues such as the restoration of Parliament.

According to him, such attempts are being made to divert attention away from the election. He reiterated that there will be no form of alliance throughout the election period and that the Nepali Congress will fight the election on its own strength.

He emphasized that voting and conducting election campaigns in a free, fair, fear-free, and secure environment is the right of citizens and political parties, and urged the government to ensure such arrangements.

He said, “We are fully moving into the electoral system. We believe in elections. The party has mobilized all its strength for the election. In the meantime, regarding some meetings and court-related matters being used to divert attention elsewhere, we have no comment.

There will be no alliance with anyone before the election. The Nepali Congress has maintained its candidates in all 165 constituencies. We are engaged in campaigning. We are moving toward victory.” He also urged voters to cast their ballots by considering past history and choosing the party and candidates capable of shaping the future.
