The Nepali Congress on Saturday stepped up its election campaign by organizing public rallies in four districts of Madhes Province — Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara and Parsa — as part of its ongoing voter outreach program.
Party President Gagan Thapa is scheduled to address gatherings in all four districts during a day-long campaign tour. According to the party’s schedule, Thapa will begin in Lalbandi, Sarlahi, before traveling to Rautahat and Bara, and conclude the day’s events in Birgunj, Parsa.
The rallies form part of the party’s broader strategy to expand voter engagement in the Madhes region ahead of the elections. During his addresses, Thapa is expected to highlight the party’s political priorities, development plans and key commitments outlined in its election platform.
On Falgun 6 (mid-February), the Nepali Congress unveiled its election manifesto in Janakpur Dham. A day later, on Falgun 7, the party organized a discussion program at the National Assembly Hall in Kathmandu, where leaders elaborated on the manifesto and responded to questions raised regarding its provisions.
As part of his nationwide campaign schedule, Thapa addressed election gatherings in Surkhet and Banke on Thursday. On Friday, he continued his outreach in Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Baglung and Kaski.
The party has also announced a program in the Kathmandu Valley on Sunday, Falgun 17, where Thapa is set to address supporters. The Nepali Congress has intensified its public engagement across multiple provinces as the election campaign progresses.
