The Government of Nepal has urged its citizens planning to travel to Israel or Iran to postpone their trips due to the rapidly escalating security situation in the Middle East.
In a public notice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised Nepali nationals to avoid non-essential travel to Israel and Iran until the situation stabilizes. The advisory follows heightened regional tensions after recent military actions involving Israel, the United States, and Iran, which have increased security risks across the region.
Travel Advisory and Heightened Security Alert
The Ministry stated that Nepali citizens should refrain from making travel plans to Israel and Iran until conditions return to normal. Nepalis currently residing in those countries have been urged to strictly follow security advisories and instructions issued by the respective host governments.
Citizens have been specifically advised to remain indoors whenever possible, stay in secure locations, and exercise necessary precautions. The Ministry also cautioned against traveling without official authorization during the current period of heightened alert.
Nepalis living in other Middle Eastern countries have similarly been asked to maintain a high level of vigilance and closely monitor local security updates.
Embassy Coordination and Emergency Guidance
The government has directed Nepali nationals in Israel and Iran to remain in close coordination with their local communities and to maintain regular contact with the concerned Nepali diplomatic missions. Assistance and updated information are being provided through the Embassy of Nepal in Tel Aviv and the Embassy of Nepal in Doha, Qatar.
In a separate notice, the Nepali Embassy in Tel Aviv urged citizens to comply with instructions issued by Israeli security authorities and the Home Front Command. In the event of an emergency, nationals have been advised to move to the nearest safe location or shelter and promptly inform the embassy.
The Ministry said it is closely monitoring developments and reaffirmed that the safety and security of Nepali citizens remain its top priority.
