Kathmandu — The Election Commission Nepal said voting is continuing peacefully at polling stations across the country during Nepal’s ongoing House of Representatives election. Election Commissioner Dr. Janaki Kumari Tuladhar said that, according to the latest information received by the commission, voting has not been halted at any polling center and the process is continuing nationwide.
Providing an update on the voting situation, Tuladhar said voters have been arriving at polling centers and exercising their voting rights with enthusiasm. “Voters are casting their ballots freely. So far, we have not received information that voting has been halted at any polling station,” she said.
Speaking about security arrangements and polling management, she said strong security measures have been implemented for the election. According to Tuladhar, the overall environment at polling centers remains peaceful, and election management activities are being carried out smoothly.
She also said the Election Commission has made special efforts to make polling stations more accessible during this election. The commission paid particular attention to the design and management of polling centers to ensure that citizens from all communities can vote conveniently.
Voting is scheduled to continue until 5:00 p.m., and the commission has urged all eligible voters to reach their polling stations on time and cast their ballots.
