Nepal Communist Party Leaders Visit Ravilaxmi Chitrakar After Medical Treatment

Senior leaders of the Communist Party of Nepal have visited Ravilaxmi Chitrakar, the wife of former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, to inquire about her health following treatment in India.

Senior leaders of the Communist Party of Nepal have met Ravilaxmi Chitrakar, the wife of former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, to inquire about her health condition. Party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Co-chair Madhav Kumar Nepal met Chitrakar after her recent return to Nepal following medical treatment abroad, according to a statement issued by Dahal’s secretariat.

Chitrakar was injured during an arson attack on her residence amid the Janajati movement. She initially received treatment at Kirtipur Burn Hospital in Kathmandu. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was later taken to hospitals in India for further treatment.

Following the completion of her medical care, Chitrakar has returned to Nepal. During the meeting, the party leaders were briefed on her current health status and extended their wishes for her continued recovery.

Dahal’s secretariat said her condition is no longer critical and that she remains under medical supervision as part of her ongoing treatment.
