Kathmandu — Vote counting preparations are underway after voting concluded on Thursday in Nepal’s House of Representatives election. According to election officials, vote counting for Kathmandu Constituency-1 will take place at the Department of Cooperatives.
Ballots from Constituency-2 will be counted at the Kageshwori Manohara Municipality Office, while counting for Constituency-3 will take place at Chamunda Secondary School in Narayantaar. The vote count for Constituency-4 will be conducted at the Budhanilkantha Municipality Office.
The Election Commission said ballots from Constituency-5 will be counted at the Shree Samaj Bhawan in Tokha Municipality-5, while Constituency-6 will conduct vote counting at the Tarakeshwor Municipality office in Dharmasthali.
Similarly, vote counting for Constituency-7 will take place at the Judo Hall in Naya Bazaar, while ballots from Constituency-8 will be counted at Januddhar Secondary School in Harisiddhi, Kathmandu.
Counting for Constituency-9 will be held at the Chandragiri Municipality office in Balambu, while ballots from Constituency-10 will be counted at the Tribhuvan University Smriti Bhawan in Kirtipur. Election authorities said preparations for vote counting are being finalized as ballot boxes are collected from polling stations across the district.
