Janakraj Giri Wins Bajura Election With 17,173 Votes, Defeats UML’s Lal Bahadur Thapa

Janakraj Giri of the Nepali Congress has been elected to the House of Representatives from Bajura after securing 17,173 votes and defeating CPN-UML candidate Lal Bahadur Thapa by a margin of 540 votes.

Bajura — Nepali Congress candidate Janakraj Giri has been elected to the House of Representatives from Bajura, according to the final vote count. Giri secured 17,173 votes, defeating CPN-UML candidate Lal Bahadur Thapa by a margin of 540 votes.

Thapa received 16,633 votes, finishing second in the constituency. Hemraj Thapa of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) came third with 6,035 votes. Meanwhile, Prakash Bahadur Shah of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) finished fourth after securing 3,301 votes.

With the announcement of the final results, Janakraj Giri of the Nepali Congress has officially been elected as the Member of the House of Representatives from Bajura.
