Gagan Thapa has said that the Nepali Congress has fulfilled the commitments it made to the public and has returned with a changed approach.
Speaking to party leaders and cadres in Jhumka of Sunsari Constituency No. 2 on Tuesday, Thapa said that voters had placed their trust in both him and the party. He urged supporters to vote for Nepali Congress candidate Rajiv Koirala and help ensure his victory from the constituency, stating that the remaining commitments would be fulfilled.
Thapa asked party leaders and workers to inform the public whether the Nepali Congress had delivered on the promises it made. He said he had stood on the trust of the people and reiterated that the party had fulfilled its commitments and had changed.
He also said that he was unable to speak at length due to the election code of conduct currently in force. Thapa added that a transformed Nepali Congress must work on a solid foundation to end corruption and strengthen good governance.
