The Election Commission has appointed monitoring officers at the district level to ensure effective enforcement of the election code of conduct, aiming to conduct the upcoming election in a clean, fair, and credible manner.
According to the Commission, assistant chief district officers have been assigned responsibility for monitoring compliance with the election code of conduct at the district level. They have been given responsibility for non-financial matters to strengthen administrative and behavioral oversight.
The Commission stated that chief treasury controllers and treasury controllers have been appointed as election code of conduct monitoring officers with separate responsibilities related specifically to financial matters.
The House of Representatives election has been scheduled for Falgun 21. To ensure the election is conducted in a clean, impartial, transparent, and credible manner, the Election Commission has implemented the Election Code of Conduct, 2082.
The code of conduct has been in effect since Magh 4. Political parties, candidates, government bodies, and all concerned stakeholders are required to comply with the provisions of the code during the election period.
