Election Is the Best Way Out of Political Crisis, Says Dahal

Nepal Communist Party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal says elections remain the most reliable democratic path to political stability and national recovery.

Kathmandu — Chair of the Nepal Communist Party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has said that elections are the best option to steer the country out of its current political crisis. Speaking at a program in Kathmandu on Monday, Dahal warned that pursuing alternatives to the electoral process could push the country toward another serious crisis.

He said that elections remain the most reliable path to political stability, continuity, and a new phase of development. Dahal said all political parties are now moving forward with the understanding that elections are the only democratic means to stabilize the country.

Despite political ups and downs, he said, the electoral process offers a common platform to guide the nation forward. He emphasized that the country can overcome its current challenges only through collective effort. According to Dahal, unity among political forces is essential to free the nation from fears of disorder, instability, and uncertainty.

“Elections are the best option to lead the country out of crisis,” Dahal said. “If we turn to other alternatives, the country could once again face another disaster. As the first party and leadership, we are submitting our closed list today as part of the election process.

A situation has been created in which all political parties, despite various challenges, are moving forward with the belief that elections can lead the country toward political stability, continuity, and a new development process. I thank everyone for this. The responsibility to rescue the nation from crisis and protect it from fears of disorder and instability lies in our collective unity.”

Dahal also said that the growing interest of young people in politics is a positive development. He stressed that the country must move forward through peaceful and democratic means.
