Nepali Congress Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka, along with General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwo Prakash Sharma, is set to hold discussions with district presidents across the country.
Starting Wednesday at 8 AM, the acting president and both general secretaries will join a virtual meeting with the presidents of all 77 districts. “There is a scheduled virtual interaction with the district presidents tomorrow morning,” Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel said.
The acting president and the two general secretaries will speak with district leaders about the ongoing renewal and distribution of active membership, as well as preparations for recommending candidates for the National Assembly and the House of Representatives under both direct and proportional categories. Other organizational matters will also be discussed.
The Nepali Congress has already announced that its 15th General Convention will take place from Poush 26 to 28. Ward-level conventions are set to begin on Poush 16. Before that, the party must finalize the active membership list and submit it to the election committee.
