All six people injured in an Air Dynasty helicopter crash in Khotang district have been rescued, authorities said.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the helicopter with registration number ‘9N-AFQ’ had taken off from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and was attempting to land at Balbesi in Khartamcha, Ward No. 2 of Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality when it lost balance and crashed at around 11:55 a.m. on Wednesday.
All six occupants, including the pilot, sustained minor injuries in the incident. CAAN Information Officer Gyanendra Bhul said the injured were evacuated by another helicopter dispatched from Kathmandu and transported safely to the capital for medical treatment.
Authorities said an investigation into the incident is underway, with preliminary indications suggesting the crash occurred due to loss of control during landing.
