Manang Ballot Boxes from Narpa Bhumi to Be Transported by Helicopter After Nepal Election Voting

Ballot boxes from Narpa Bhumi Rural Municipality in Manang will be transported by helicopter after voting in Nepal’s House of Representatives election, officials said.

Ballot boxes from Narpa Bhumi Rural Municipality in Manang district will be transported by helicopter. Chief Election Officer Ram Prasad Poudel said the ballot boxes from the geographically remote Narpa Bhumi area will be brought by helicopter.

Although there was a plan to transport the ballot boxes by helicopter on Thursday immediately after voting ended, the plan could not be implemented because a helicopter was not available.

“Had the helicopter been here, it would have been possible today. Since it is currently in Butwal, the ballot boxes can only be brought tomorrow morning,” Poudel said. According to election officials, the helicopter will make two flights to transport the ballot boxes from Narpa Bhumi.

Ballot boxes from areas with road access, including the lower and upper regions of Manang, will be transported by vehicle and are expected to be brought to the district headquarters by around 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
