Jhapa — Voter turnout in Jhapa district has reached around 50 percent in Nepal’s ongoing House of Representatives election, according to the latest election data. Out of 713,537 registered voters across the district, 356,189 ballots had been cast. Among those who voted, 186,942 were women and 169,247 were men.
Constituency-Wise Voter Turnout
In Jhapa-1, 62,009 votes were cast out of 131,067 registered voters, resulting in 47 percent turnout.
In Jhapa-2, 72,190 voters cast their ballots from a total of 147,522 registered voters, bringing participation to 49 percent.
In Jhapa-3, 73,956 votes were recorded among 140,857 registered voters, marking about 53 percent turnout.
In Jhapa-4, 59,390 voters cast their ballots out of 130,712 registered voters, reaching 45 percent turnout.
In Jhapa-5, the district recorded the highest participation, with 88,644 votes cast from 163,379 registered voters, representing 54 percent turnout.
Voting Continues Peacefully
Authorities said the voting process across Jhapa district has been continuing peacefully, with voters arriving at polling centers to participate in the nationwide parliamentary election.
